Dominican Republic Photo Book By Michael Friedel by MM Photodrucke
The Dominican Republic, Haiti's larger neighbor on the island of Hispaniola, has the most varied landscape in the Greater Antilles. Rain forests, deserts, rivers, waterfalls, tropical mountainsides, fertile valleys and broad savannas. It has the highest mountain, the lowest point (below sea level) and the longest palm-fringed beaches in The Caribbean. Its, capital, Santo Domingo, is the oldest city in the New World. With his camera, Michael Friedel reveals the beauty of this island.

Michael Friedel is a freelance photographer and author from Munich, Germany. Friedel's particular interest is in dream islands of eternal summer. Michael documents the many facets of island life in pictures taken above and under water, on land and from the air. Marion Fridel writes on the origins of the islands, their natural wonders, the life of the islanders, their history and culture. In addition, there are inside tips and captions to the photographs explaining exactly where each one was taken. The maps of the islands include photographs and sites from the books.
