The manuscripts have been chosen to illustrate a variety of appearances and subject matter and selected with the collections held in the Arni Magnusson Institute for Icelandic Studies in Reykjavik, The Arnamagnan Collection at the University of Copenhagen and at the Royal Library in Stockholm.
