Phuket and its tourist attractions on a map from Thinknet, with a plan of Phuket Town, enlargements for the Kata - Karon, Patong and Kamala Beach areas, plus mapping of the adjoining mainland provinces, also with town maps and enlargements.
On one side is a map of Phuket Island at 1:75,000, a large plan of Phuket town at 1:8.500, plus enlargements of Kata - Karon Beach, Patong Brach and Kamala Beach areas (1:14,000/1:16,000). All have extensive overprint highlighting various types of accommodation, restaurants and bars, markets and shopping centers, sights, etc., as well as other official public institutions and facilities. The maps are not indexed.
The reverse side shows the nearby mainland provinces of Phangnga, Thani, Krabi and Trang at 1:250,000, with plans and/or enlargements of downtown Phangnga, Krabi and Trang towns, Khao Lak area, Noppharat Thara Beach and the Phi Phi Islands. All have a similar overprint to the Phuket side. The map has an index of islands, beaches, caves, waterfalls and other tourist attractions. All the information is in Thai and English.
PLEASE NOTE: place names on maps in this series, apart from names of administrative units, are in print size significantly smaller than usually found on most road maps. All the information is clearly legible, but it's not always easy to locate main towns.
